Our most popular class returns! If you have never picked up a brush before but thought it would be fun, this class is for you! As we paint a simple landscape together, we will learn how to use basic painting materials. We will also study the five elements of oil painting and discuss how knowledge of them can help you plan, develop and complete paintings of beauty and significance. Materials provided.

Have you always wanted to learn to quilt? This class is for you! Start with the basics in rotary cutting and piecing quilts. We will create a traditional log cabin lap size quilt. Students must purchase their own fabric and have access to a functioning sewing machine with 1/4 inch foot to bring to class. Materials that we will provide for you are: cutting supplies, extension cords, ironing board and iron. Once you enroll you will receive a class supply and fabric requirement list. Want to be creative, but aren’t quite ready to commit to a lengthy art class? Feeling intimidated by the rules of painting? This class is the perfect opportunity to create an abstract painting by learning the art of liquid acrylics. Oct. 1 Acrylic painting– You will learn to mix paints as well as how to paint. Each student will complete one finished painting of beautiful aspen trees.
Oct. 15th Charcoal Drawing–In this class you will learn to use charcoal and learn how to blend and create textures. Each student will complete one charcoal drawing.
Oct. 29th– Watercolor Painting- You will learn how to mix colors in a palette. With the water color techniques that you are taught in this class, you will create one painting.
Nov. 5th Pastel Drawing– In this class you will learn to mix and blend Pastels, creating two pictures using these techniques.

This is a chance for you and your children to create a take-home art piece ready to display as an enchanting Halloween décor. It will be finished in one night! Each student will be making a decoupage Halloween art plate. Have fun working together and make some fun memories. This class is meant to be collaborative, with no age minimum; however kids are expected to take this class with a parent, grandparent, or other adult. No kids required though! Materials provided. Cost of class includes supplies for 2 participants.
