This will be a class for children grades 4-6. We will look at different musical instruments and create fun masterpieces by changing their sizes and shapes. All materials will be provided

3 weeks  Mondays  July 6 – July 20th   9 am – 10 am  Lisa Rawlings $30

Music – Science – Art Fusion! 

This will be a class for children grades 4-6.  We will create an abstract painting based oon the musical piece “The Planets” by Gustav Holst.  All materials will be provided.

3 Weeks   Mondays  July 6 – July 20th   10:15 am – 11:30 am  Lisa Rawlings $30

Music Collage 

This will be a class for children grades 1-3. We will learn about artist Romeare Bearden, and his interest in jazz music. Combining the two, we will create a beautiful collage on canvas.  All materials will be provided.

Instrument Madness! 

This will be a class for children grades 1-3.  We will look at various musical instruments, talk about Picasso’s abstract art, and then combine the two to create a fun, musical masterpiece!  All materials will be provided.

Oil Painting Basics

Our most popular class returns! If you have never picked up a brush before but thought it would be fun, this class is for you! As we paint a simple landscape together, we will learn how to use basic painting materials. We will also study the five elements of oil painting and discuss how knowledge of them can help you plan, develop and complete paintings of beauty and significance. Materials provided. Age 16+

Raku Pottery: The Art of Playing with Fire

This will be an introductory workshop on hand-building pottery forms and firing them in the Japanese Raku style. Materials provided in cost of class. Age 13+

Black and White Film Photography

LeavesCome learn the lost art of film photography. Students will be working in a dark room, learning film developing skills as well as photography skills.  Students must provide a film camera and 35mm or 120mm film. Chemical and photographic paper is provided.  Notify instructors if needing help finding a camera.

Learn the basics of Micro-Macramé in this creative hands on class.  Over three weeks, students will learn the basic knots of micro-macramé and then work to complete a trendy bracelet wrap to take home.   All materials provided.

Want to be creative, but aren’t quite ready to commit to a lengthy art class?  Feeling intimidated by the rules of painting?  This class is the perfect opportunity to create an abstract painting by learning the art of liquid acrylics.  In this one evening, you’ll learn how to mix your own liquid acrylics as well as make your own creation.  All materials provided.

Max Class size:  20   All ages welcome
