Join us for our return to the Filley First Friday Lunch and Learn Event with Darren Parker: Book Talk and Signing “Our Hometown: An Illustrated Trip Down Memory Lane,” is a collection of Darren’s iconic paintings of treasured local places and written reflections on his memories of each. “True Colors” is a compilation of poems and photos by Darren and his cousin Jean Doan Alexander. The cousins are both Pratt natives who have reconnected to publish this book consisting of her collection of poetry and his vast array of photographs from in and around south central Kansas, many from Pratt County. During the book talk, Darren will discuss these two books and give all attendees the opportunity to share their own personal treasured memories of the locals featured in “Our Hometown.”

The technology set up to produce these events is quite an advanced ordeal – we are grateful for everyone’s flexibility as we get more and more experienced with producing this “virtual experience” we are enjoying the challenge!
